Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and wine, and a sense of wellbeing. With the Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek mountains as backdrop, Babylonstoren is majestic. Granted in 1692, Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms in South Africa. Today it features 5-star accommodation in restored 17th century cottages, a garden spa, two farm-to-table restaurants, a winery, and a farm shop. Unique to the property is also a formally laid out eight acre fruit and vegetable garden that was inspired by the Company Gardens in Cape Town, for provisioning ships that passed by the Cape of Good Hope on voyages to and from the East.
